All SET generators have very low sound levels with outputs ranging between 2 to 100kW.

THE WATER-COOLED GENERATOR

The core of SET's generators are designed to be fresh water cooled. This prevents contamination by salt and chemicals that may affect the operation and efficiency of the generator set. SET generators are designed to be asynchronous and are built using the very latest in materials and production techniques. The generators are certified to class IP54 which means they are protected against penetration from oil, dirt, water and salt deposits. Because of this feature they can be safely installed on any part of a vehicle

SET generators have a set of standard features that include short circuit and overload protection, squirrel cage rotors, class F insulation, radio suppressors, capacitor controlled AC output and a high starting capacity.

GENERATOR CAPSULES

As innovative manufacturers SET have designed superior encasing systems that ensure consistently low sound levels from generators. SET have two main capsule types, their unique airtight soundproof aluminium capsule and a new development, a steel capsule cast in six parts for ease of maintenance. Both have anti-vibration mountings that help to achieve these outstanding sound levels.

THE CAMINO GENERATOR

The Camino range represents SET's most advanced line of generators; a product of years of design and production improvements the Camino is a versatile generator suitable for use in many applications. The Camino range of vehicle and military generators has a dual circuit cooling system. This allows the generator and engine to be individually cooled for optimum performance. The lower operating temperature prolongs the life of the generator's component parts to give a cost effective power generating solution. The Camino generator is driven by powerful diesel engines; these are water-cooled and specially modified by SET's engineers to fit the Camino's exact specifications.

CONTROL AND MAINTENANCE

SET's generators are controlled by a remote panel that incorporates the following functions, starter engagement with safety protection and meters for oil pressure, engine temperature, generator temperature and hours of service.

The generator sets are characterised by their compact design, making then suitable for installation in the tightest of spaces. They can be installed directly at the required location using SET's standard mounting frame which is supplied with the generator. The silencer, radiator and remote control panel are supplied separately for installation on site.

Optional extras for SET's generator sets are recommended for use in different situations, they include a tropical cooling system (for +48ºC), a start up set (for -42ºC), an oil change system (every 1000 hours), a power booster for high currents, rpm control and a military set.
